Joel Morel is an American actor, singer, dancer, and puppeteer based in New York and California.

Most recently, he’s toured the country as a puppeteer for The Jim Henson Company as the original Suit Performer for Gobo in the National Tour of Fraggle Rock Live—written and directed by Emmy winner and Tony nominee John Tartaglia. This winter, he will appear as Yasha in The Cherry Orchard at Marin Theatre Company, directed by multi-award winning director Carey Perloff.

Joel is a graduate from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. He earned his B.F.A. in Drama (Class of 2024) training in Musical Theatre at The New Studio on Broadway, and studying Commedia dell’Arte in Florence with master physical acting teacher, Jim Calder.

He has received international critical acclaim for his work, notably for Urinetown at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, earning praise in multiple reviews for his standout performance.

Joel is of proud Jewish and Hispanic descent.
