Joel Morel is a Jewish and Hispanic-American actor, singer, dancer, and puppeteer based in New York and California.

Most notably, Joel was the original suit performer and puppeteer for Gobo in The Jim Henson Company’s National Tour of Fraggle Rock Live—written and directed by Emmy winner and Tony nominee John Tartaglia. He also appeared regionally as Yasha in The Cherry Orchard at Marin Theatre Company, directed by American Conservatory Theater’s Artistic Director Emerita Carey Perloff.

Joel is a graduate from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. He earned his B.F.A. in Drama (‘24) and studied Musical Theatre at The New Studio on Broadway, and Commedia dell’Arte in Florence with master physical acting teacher, Jim Calder.
